A long, white pavilion that reaches from a palm-covered island out over the water. The roof folds down into the walls, and the openings follow the curve of the shore.

One continuous surface, from island to water.

The pavilion is drawn as a single folded surface: roof, wall and floor are one gesture that leaves the island and hovers over the lake.

A place to arrive by water.

A landing on the lake side, a sheltered hall under the deepest part of the roof, and terraces that step down towards the water.

The form was found in section first: a set of curves that keep the same rhythm from the shore to the far end of the roof.
